Royal paper is thicker and heavier.

I always order Kodak Royal and can feel the difference in the thickness; while not having a scientific method of measuring the difference to me Royal feels around 50% thicker than Classic -- plus the image color/saturation looks just a bit richier.

Compared to Fuji paper at many 1 hour labs the Kodak Royal feels almost 75% to 80% thicker. Hope this helps some.
